Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your box. If something’s wrong, we’ll make it right.

Damaged or incorrect items

If your book arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, email us within 7 days of delivery at support@gutterandspine.co.uk with a photo. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

Lost parcels

All boxes ship via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If your parcel shows as delivered but you haven’t received it, contact us within 7 days and we’ll investigate.

Returns

Because this is a subscription box, we only accept returns for damaged items or boxes within 14 days of delivery.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the return, we’ll process your refund back to the original payment method.

Curated selections

We can’t offer refunds just because you didn’t enjoy the monthly pick — but if you already own the title, you can request the alternative book option (see our Swap Policy).

Swaps (if you already own the monthly title)

Each month, we’ll reveal the selected graphic novel on a set date (announced in advance).

If you already own the revealed title, you can request a swap to that month’s alternative pick.

Swap window

  • Swap requests must be made within 7 days of the reveal date (UK time).
  • Requests made after this 7-day window cannot be accepted — this is because we need to finalise stock and packing on schedule.

Eligibility

  • Swaps are available only if you already own the revealed monthly title.
  • Swaps are to the designated alternative pick only (we don’t offer a multi-choice menu).
  • Swap availability is subject to stock.

If you already own both titles

If you already own both the main pick and the alternative, email us within the swap window and we’ll do our best to help subject to availability, but we can’t guarantee an alternative.

How to request a swap

Email support@gutterandspine.co.uk with:

  • Subject: Swap Request
  • Your order email address
  • Confirmation that you already own the revealed title
